A River of Denial

Are you drowning in a river called Denial

Denial is painful, polluted river that's filled with heart aches
Flooded with our blame and our shame as we relive our mistakes

Caught in its current it keeps blinding our eyes
We choke on our self hate and drown in despise

Those who have fell in it's waters know that it's true
Hell's only way out for us is by going through

Desparation is a gift that can bring a life rope
So often all has to be lost before we find hope

Admission and acceptance becomes the life boat to power
In harmonious action we're made new minute by minute, hour by hour

One day at a time in denials river we no longer swim
Our sanity can be restored when we rely upon Him

Denial's polluted river can lead to an ocean of peace
When we let go and let God and our will we release
